Smuggler's Festival in Kaiserwinkl

As the name suggests, the Smugglers' Festival is all about “smuggling”. On the one hand, delicacies from the region are on offer. Local clubs are involved here and will be catering for the guests. The most important smuggler's good was and still is in abundance in Kaiserwinkl: cheese!
Alcohol was also smuggled across the Bavarian-Tyrolean border. Local schnapps distilleries were also involved here. The third contraband was tobacco products. Of course, we do not want to exhibit or offer these. Instead, we will be focussing on medicinal herbs, incense and health. Another highlight will be a festive parade. Nostalgia and horse-drawn carriages are a must!
