The network of cross-country ski trails in the Kaiserwinkl villages of Kössen, Walchsee, Schwendt and Rettenschöss offers perfectly groomed trails for up to 127.5 km classic and 126 km skating - a paradise for demanding athletes and motivated newcomers. No wonder that the Kaiserwinkl region is at the top of cross-country skiers' and skaters' list of their most favorite destinations in Europe!
By the way: two of our cross-country trails are snow-secure, because by storing and preserving artificial snow (snowfarming) we can guarantee you skiing fun on them regardless of this year's snowfall.

In order to guarantee the quality, we ask you to use only the designated trails below, with the use of a headlamp, at the indicated times. The following trail sections are prepared only after 21:00 and are therefore available.

In the Cross Country Ski Holidays association, Kaiserwinkl together with the most important cross-country skiing destinations in the Alps are committed to cross-country skiing. In addition to cross-country skiing, the association also pays special attention to other soft winter sports such as biathlon, ski touring or snowshoeing.

What are the opinions of others?
It is a fact that the Kaiserwinkl is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in Tyrol. We are convinced that we also belong to the most beautiful one as well. But of course you should not only rely on our opinion!
Every winter, an online survey is launched at www.Schneehoehen.de in various categories and then an award is presented. We have been awarded annually:
