Visitor's tax information

Due to Tyrolean law, all overnight stays in the context of tourism are subject to taxation. The so-called local tax or visitor's tax is levied independently of the accommodation price and is used to maintain the infrastructure in Kaiserwinkl such as maintenance of paths, Regiobus, cross-country skiing network, signposting, etc.

In the area of the Kaiserwinkl Tourist Association, the residence tax per person is set at € 1.90 per overnight stay (since 01.11.2017, from 01.11.2024 € 2,50). Not subject to the tax are overnight stays of children until the end of the calendar year in which they celebrate their 15th birthday. See further information concerning exceptions below.

... every guest who stays in an accommodation in the Kaiserwinkl is entitled to the Kaiserwinkl Card, which they will receive from their landlord upon arrival.
