Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee
A fantastic backdrop, a challenging course, thousands of enthusiasts along the route, top stars from all over the world – these are just a few attributes that describe the Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee.
The competitions Aquabike, Challenge Women, Aquathlon & Challenge Junior as well as the middle distance triathlon as a relay competition, which extend over the entire weekend, round off the family-friendly Challenge weekend. Many of the athletes also used this event as an extension of their vacation. This way, many athletes and their families stayed with us in Kaiserwinkl the days before and after the event.

We ask all Challenge participants to be considerate of the STVO during the training preparations in the Kaiserwinkl region. We especially ask cyclists to reduce their speed when passing through towns and villages, or when passing through blind spots, in order to prevent injuries and accidents.
Middle distance swim
The 1.9 kilometer swim distance is covered in the Walchsee lake at the foot of the mighty Kaisergebirge mountain range. With temperatures ranging from 20 to 24°C and drinking water quality, the 25-meter-deep Walchsee offers ideal conditions for a fast swim.
Important note: The swim course crosses the motorboat course of the water skiers and is only open for the competition!
Middle distance running course
The 21.9 kilometer running course is slightly undulating and leads in four laps around Lake Walchsee. Along the lake promenade, past farms, between fields and meadows, the running course offers picturesque views of the Kaiser Mountains and Lake Walchsee. There are 2 refreshment stations per lap.
Aquabike Challenge
As part of the event, the Challenge Aquabike will take place. It starts at the same time as the middle distance.
The 1.9 kilometer swim distance will be covered in the Walchsee lake at the foot of the mighty Kaiser mountain range. The 25 m deep Walchsee offers ideal conditions for a fast swim with temperatures between 20 and 24°C and drinking water quality. The bike course has the same duration as the middle distance. After that it goes directly to the finish line.

Challenge Women
The run, which is organized especially for women, takes place in the course of the Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee weekend.
Whether running beginners, enthusiastic hobby runners, ambitious runners or walkers, all are welcome to tackle the classic women's running distance of 5 km together.
The running course leads in a loop around the lake along the lake promenade, former farm houses, between fields and meadows, and offers picturesque views of the Kaiser mountain range and Lake Walchsee.

Challenge Aquathlon
The Austrian Aquathlon Championship will take place as part of the event weekend.
The swim will be completed in Lake Walchsee at the foot of the mighty Kaisermountain range. The 25 m deep Lake Walchsee offers ideal conditions for a fast swim with temperatures between 20 and 24°C and drinking water quality. The running course takes the athletes along Lake Walchsee and then directly to the finish line. More information about the exact course lengths will follow soon.

Challenge Junior
At the Junior-Challenge, the day before the big race, the little ones can show off in a big way. The competition is held as an aquathlon for girls and boys up to 17 years of age, who can master the given competition distances without assistance.
Swimming distances: Swimming takes place on clearly marked courses in Lake Walchsee. It always starts at the Wassersportzentrum Walchsee.
Running distances: The running course is a flat course in the Triathlon Park and the surrounding area.
