Walchsee
Directly at the foot of the imposing Kaiser mountain range and by the lake of the same name lies the village of Walchsee in the district of Kufstein. Hiking and strolling
Walchsee is popular with families, couples and singles in summer. Here you will get your money's worth as a pleasure seeker as well as an adrenaline junkie. A hike in the Kaiser mountain range is just as beautiful as a walk around the lake. You should definitely also plan one of the 7 village rounds, the "Hochbergrunde", at least once.

Swimming and boating
Our Lake Walchsee gets up to 24° degrees in summer. The ideal water temperature for swimming and of course for fun and action. Especially the Aqua-Fun-Park magically attracts children and teenagers. On the large bathing lake you can also go boating and stand up paddling or rent a pedal boat. For even more action, just strap on your water skis and off you go! E-biking, cycling or mountain biking
Of course, Walchsee is also the ideal starting point for mountain biking, e-biking or cycling. Our well signposted bike tours guarantee you maximum pleasure. Also our themed bike trails and pleasure bike trails all lead through Walchsee.
Our nature reserve, the Schwemm
Northwest of Walchsee you will find the Schwemm, the largest moor area in Northern Tyrol. The Schwemm is home to many rare animals and plants. You can explore these in detail during a guided tour of the moor. Of course you can also discover the Schwemm on your own.

Snow hikes with or without snowshoes
Winter in Walchsee is like a fairytale: snow-covered mountain peaks, glittering lakeshores and a delicate layer of ice on Lake Walchsee itself. With such an enchanting sight, it's best to leave everyday life behind and set off on a voyage of discovery through the winter wonderland: many winter and snowshoe hikes start directly in the village or in the immediate vicinity.

Ski and snowboard
The small but beautiful ski resorts Mount Zahmer Kaiser and Amberglift are just ten kilometers away from the German highway A93. The gentle slopes are ideal for families and beginners. Cross country skiing
Walchsee is also one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing areas in Tyrol. Six cross-country skiing routes start directly in the village. If you also like to be by the water in winter, we recommend the lakeside cross-country ski trail, which runs partly along the lakeshore.
